The Bored Founders Club has got a lot of valuable members and few of them are deep into the Metaverse topic.
Today’s episode is made in cooperation with Michał and Igor, the metaverse specialists. For them it’s not the future, it’s a daily job. That’s why we asked them to prepare some Metaverse oriented news.
It’s time to figure out that the future from the sci-fi movies is already here.
Tread carefully in the Metaverse as the police are already there! In recent news the Interpol informed that they have opened their own Headquarters in the Metaverse. It is already accessible and you can have a tour around the digital copy of
Interpol HQ from Lyon, France.
However, this surprising decision is not just a PR stunt by the international police organization. They recognise how the world is changing and in the recent reports they noted that many crimes have moved to the digital world. Among the biggest challenges they name social engineering scams, violent extremism and misinformation.
This is yet another sign that even the oldest and most respected organization recognise the weight Metaverse is going to play in our future. With the boundaries of
our physical world expanding and merging with the digital one, the law enforcement system must also adjust to this process. As said by Madan Oberoi, INTERPOL’s Executive Director of Technology and Innovation:
“But in order for police to understand the Metaverse, we need to experience it.”

First of all, thank you for pushing the idea of the Metaverse to the mainstream, Zuck! But maybe it would be best if you left the rest of the job to the professionals, heh?
Recently Meta had another ground-breaking presentation about their upcoming metaverse platform. Yet again, it is tripping over its own feet and quite literally at that, this time! In the video released recently, they bragged about how the metaverse avatars are going to reflect real-life leg movement… unfortunately it turned out that the video was pre-rendered to reflect the movement.
In this particular case maybe it would be better if they missed the leg day after all?
